So my boyfriend found some head gaskets from Germany. They weren't too over the top expensive so heck yes!

They're bolts, not studs, and the stretch spec for K engine head bolts is 134.4mm maximum, from tip to face. Get yourself a good caliper.

I was confused for a second with the head stud comment. I have not measured the bolts yet but I will obviously check before I put it back together. I have to triple check everything with this lil monster before I put everything back. I can't look at that manual on my iphone so I will have to wait to see what that link is. Epic fail for my Iphone.

Sorry, that was a little assholey, I'm honestly not an a--hole most of the time, but you reminded me of it, and I though you and others would appreciate a chuckle.

Haha I guess I should have said my phone sucks really bad and won't load half the stuff I want to look at. I still can't believe my boyfriend found some head gaskets so easily. I am glad I don't have to pay over 300 dollars anymore.

Wow. I haven't been on here in forever. I didn't give up on my car. I have to replace three camshaft cap bolts and it took me forever to find some. I ended up finding it on amazon. It took me so long because I was wanting to buy it in town and I never got to go. Anyway they should be here by this weekend. I am excited to put my poor car back together.

I got my bolts last week and I got to work on O-Ren today and yesterday. Everything went smoothly. I got the valve covers and the timing belt back on. It was all easy peasy thanks to my wonderful boyfriend helping me out. :D

when it comes to miscellaneous bolts, remember your friendly neighbors at Ace Hardware! I bring in my bolt, match it up with equal or stronger grade and done.

The Ace in Butler has a grand selection of maybe 3 bolts. Haha it's not that grand here. Neither is Advanced Auto. If you don't have a Z71 with pyypes then you are out of luck. The bolts I got were a little bit stronger than the old ones so it worked out well.

that's butt! farm and seed places usually only have standard bolts not metric. eh, your options are slim in meridian. I've been in meridian for alittle bit, hattiesburg for longer. There's not much that direction :/

Oh Meridian is a busy city compared to Butler Alabama. You are 30 minutes away from anything.

We got the intake manifold on and got everything plugged in and we went to go put the pulleys and belt back on and the crank bolt wont come off. So now we have to figure out how to loosen that. He got a breaker bar and tried to loosen it with that but it just moved the engine up instead of loosening it. Oh we are so close to fixing her!
