Re: Mx3Kid's 93' Mx3 Project (Pics inside)
If I used lowering springs with stock shocks wouldn't that blow them out?

Depends how low. The biggest problem with the DropZone's is that they are so low...or can be...and so stiff that the shock winds up in the compressed position pretty much forever. They blow up pretty fast. If you only lower it an inch and a half or so and the spring rate actually allows some travel, they will last a good while.

buy zx2 struts and bore out your perches. they're cheaper and better than stock replacement.

Are those spots on the hood 'fisheye' caused by oil in the lines from the compressor. You can buy fisheye additive that may help stop that from happening. You talk about block sanding. I thought primer is usually lightly sprayed on then block sanded. Why did you paint first, won't it be a long process now to block sand it all down? Other than my own tendency to over criticize looks like your doing a great job. Congrates.

I know you believe that you understand what you think I said but I'm sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

Re: Mx3Kid's 93' Mx3 Project (Pics inside)
The fisheyes that happened in my case were becuse of pin size bubbles in the bondo that weren't sanded throughly enough. And we have 3 water traps along with the one thats on the compressor ill put up a picture of it. so i really dont think much liquid is getting through the gun. and the spots on the paint are more likely dust that wasn't cleaned off good enough.Daninski wrote:Are those spots on the hood 'fisheye' caused by oil in the lines from the compressor. We spray on the first coat of paint to see how it looks from there. and nahh wetsanding the whole car with muh dad took about 20 minutes to half an hour. using 400 grit with soft pads:D Pictures coming!

Starting from far left to middle to right on mounted on the walls on the water traps. You can see the air hoses going in and out of them. These get filled with water and have nozzles on the bottom that can be opened up to release and fluid build up! Pretty niffty.
and this is how my car looks as of today and the last coat of paint will go on very sooN!
