but check engine light comes on... which should not be related to idle control. I just feel like it runs too lean...

If you think it's running too lean, try pulling the vacuum hose from the fuel pressure regulator. That'll raise the pressure to (iirc) 45PSI, which will deliver more fuel. If it idles better in that state, that's probably the problem.

Nice work. All of your mods are very clean. :welder:

Looks like we've got an identical suspension setup now. What do you think of it?

Installed the whiteine rear anti-sway bar. The difficulat part was taking off the rear sway bar links, they were all rusted and seized, so I ended up just cutting them off and getting new ones. Luckily, I checked amazon and they must have had a price mistakes, so I bought two links for $16 and when I chcekd the following day, they were back to $64 each.

Just trying to put some "liquid wrench" to losen up the bolts, but did not help

Had to cut off the rear link :)

Finished (ps first time I installed it with the sticker upsidedown, so I just reinstalled it to be the correct side up lol)

So this week I will get wheel alighment and then do some testing :)

Congrats. I think you'll love it. :)

I just noticed though - are your jackstands under the trailing arms? If so - be careful. I bent mine quite badly by using them that way. Some say they're strong enough, but I know for fact that they aren't. They're hollow, not solid.

That said, they're only $60 at the dealer to replace. But still.

Haven't posted here in awhile... not much has been happening to the MX-3, just don't have time :(

So I had some free time and decided to clean it up a little bit. The paint was getting very dull and pinkish looking. So I got some Meguiar’s Ultimate Compound and Meguiar’s NXT Generation Tech Wax 2.0. First I used the compound, it took forever to get all the little scratches and the oxidation out. After that I went over the whole thing with wax, and it came out awesome. I love the fact that there's no clear coat, so you can really make it shine. Some of the areas that were just not recoverable were the mirrors and the spoiler a little bit. Other than that it came out looking great for 18 year old paint job.

Here's some pictures to just compare the paint before and after using the compound

And here's some pictures after using the compound and then waxing. The camera does not do it justice.
