:lol: ya, it was a "why didnt i think of that?!" moment for me too, i seen another mx3 last weekend and he had used the paint can lid...i had been rackin my brain since i got the car to think of someway delete that silencer :shrug:
- on another note, ive started painting my dash, but ive run out of paint. i will post pics when its completed. :welder:

Here's the most cost effective upgrade I can think of, and it's for that very part:

I have since then replaced it with a Stainless Steel Martini shaker. It's in my worklog.

here's my dash after primer, first coat of paint

i just finished priming the center console peice that wraps around the stereo and shifter, and wetsanding the peice pictured above..its looking pretty good, just need to buy more paint :welder:

It would make me happy if you painted the A/C vent inner bezels to match the black top of the dash. That would make it look factory.

dont suppose you know the color code for that black? or how i could find out? if i paint i want to use the right color..im done trusting local hardware store paint so i get it made for me

My interior is pretty much the same colour....

And what does this paint can in place of the silencer do? Whats it's purpose?

it deletes the silencer...its pretty self explanitory as to what it does...the silencer is only there to dumb down the noise of the intake from factory.

So what it enhances the sound of the intake? When I took it off it just looked like a scorpions tail. I don't see how it works :?

the silencer does what it name says...just throw it away, clamp on a rattle can lid and enjoy a nice cold wobbly pop after all you hard work :welder:
once you remove the silence you will notice it will sound throattier in the higher rpm (after 4000rpm)..at least thats what i noticed :shrug:

Yea I notcied in high rpm's it sounds more clarified and destinct thanks for the tip
