All stock '95 RS
44.3mpg on my last tank.
Methods used:
-commute outside of rush hour times
-accelerate slowly
-shift before 2,500rpm
-drive in 5th as much as possible (even in 35mph areas)
-change from snow tires to summer tires (Hankook iPike 409 - winter, Yokohama A550H - summer)
-EOC when possible and safe

This tank was quite an achievement for me as I usually get in the high 30's, but I was able to EOC more than normal and only drove to work and back, instead of running errands and such. If all things would remain the same, ie - I drive that same route at those same times and no other driving, I could fill up my tank once a month.

I'm getting around mid - high 30's on this tank with an entirely different route (I'm moving), so that's what I expect, still it was nice to get almost 45mpg for that tank.

BADMIHAI, did you fix the problem or is it still taking so much gas?
I get pretty much the same numbers with my 95 RS (manual) and was wondering it there is something I can do.
