MX-3.com

Well for one the mx-3 was well before its time, starting production in 1990. Its no longer in production yes, but it was 8 years old, something had to change. Its not the VW beetle, which is STILL in production since 1932. Noones saying that hondas are not good cars, everyone knows hondas are reliable. But dont come on this board thinking that we all are that opinionated justbecause 1 or 2 people have different aspects about hondas. You cant even clasify an Civic SI with an mx-3. The mx-3 v6 never changed besides interior (due to US standards for airbags) since 1990. And this BS about hitting 145 MPH.

The Beetle stopped production of it's original car in 2003.

I'm not getting mad at all people here. I'm getting mad cause people are sterotyping all hondas and honda owners as "ricers". You can make a Nissan Skyline a "ricer" if you wanted to. I'm just touchy on this subject cause my buddies and I had/have hondas. And almost everyone who doesn't own a Honda call them ricer burners. My car was a red civic hatch back, lowered, black projectors, black corners, 17's, tinted windows, and a swap, at one point I did have a wing on it that I bought for $25, then I sold it for $100. But I regreted that cause it looked retarded. So basically I had this clean, mildly quick civic that is now classified as a ricer by cool guys in ford focus's with APC stickers all over them, just cause its a honda. As for not knowing what i'm talking about, i can't really prove that over the internet. So I posted some off numbered info when I was mad. But anyone can search on the net and find specs. But i've performed three swaps in diferent cars. Now some retard who doesn't know what they are talking about can put a SR20DET in a 240sx. I'm sorry if I offended anyone, but I was a little ticked after I see people rip on hondas on every forum I go to. And yes, i cannot prove I went 145 in my hatch, all I know is that I flew by my friend in a neon who was hitting the speed limiter at 120. And my gauge was well past where the gauge stops at 130 (custom gauges).

ok i dont know that much about hondas but isnt all the 190+hp motors he is talking about turbo'd. If so know we are trying to compair apples to oranges if you want to relate the two look at turbo'd k motors not the NA ones and all of them are putting over 200hp and well over 200fp to the wheels the average kl03 turbo'd is puting 250 to the wheels thats 285 at the motor.
But if those are na motors not turbo just ignore what i just said.

The MX-3 is easily compared to a Civic. Both are FWD hatchbacks, am I missing something here? They are practically in the same class. The same can be said of an mx-3 as a civic.

ok our hatchback looks nothing like theres hell if thats the case i can compare my mx3 to the new 350 z, yes they are fwd so are other cars, if thats all you got to compare with then thats not enough, lets just compare numbers i really doubt the total number of actual drivable mx3s even = 5% of drivable civics, im not sitting here bashing the civic, hell one of my friends is running a b16 turbo and we fight all the time about ****, but we both know we're in a different class, and look at modifications as well, even though more and more mods are coming out for the mx3 its still expensive as hell to where i can get a body kit or a CAI off ebay for less than 100 bucks COMBINED.

I like civic HB's, but the swaps are too damn expensive!! I did my KLZE swap for around $1500 total. That includes intake, clutch, kl31 ecu...etc. I checked out some of the b16 and 18 swaps on ebay and the engine and tranny alone are around 2-3k.

YES!! They are damn exspensive! Thats what I really like about the mx-3!
