Finally ended up taking some video of the cat-back exhaust. Seems a pretty decent sound.

After unsuccessfully trying to find a CPS on eBay, Amazon, or anywhere else in the world (besides eastern Europe) I found a new distributor for $78 with shipping through an online seller. Once she arrives, we'll toss her back in and get the car on its way.
Still, it would be nice to change from a distributor system to a DIS utilizing the MX-5's CPS and coil pack.

Well, found a distributor online, brand new/rebuilt for 75 shipped. Not bad of a price. Now for the problem! The CPS has a different plug than the standard that came on the old distributor and the CPS is completely different as well. I'm hoping that the pin-outs on the 'new' CPS will be the same as those on vehicle harness side. Does anyone recognize this Camshaft Position Sensor?

Header back installation of exhaust system. Currently has a test pipe in place of the clogged catalytic converter.
