yeah i reread what i originally wrote. your right, i dont know what was going on in my head at that point. i know better then that.

So Mazda says 10w30 and not 10w40..Didn't know that..Always used 10w40.
So first rule read the F*manual.

Mind you this was BEFORE changing them. Before changing coolant + thermostat, colder temps when I tried using the heat. Didn't affect how fast it warmed up.

And still irrelevant to cold shifting because the set are not related. If it was, I'd suggest changing fluids, but that wasn't the case. Shifted same before and after, but I changed it because I didn't know how good the current fluid was.

The fluid made a minor difference for me, I bought another brand to try come swap day. :2thumbsup:
