I would be in on getting a CF GS lip made... yeah I already have a CF one but it's not in great shape and since it was a one off, I believe Oscar's would come out better. I have a spare GS lip that is not in perfect condition but it may be good enough to make a mold of?

I will definitely ask about CF.

I think the lip I have on my car right now is in good enough condition that it could be repaired and then molded. If he says it isn’t I will put the word out for the best condition lip I can get my hands on.

I have a brand new lip on my car, both sides. I would donate that for a CF lip.

Sorry I totally forgot to update this.

I talked to a high end custom place here in Edmonton was referred to a "fiberglass wizard" who works on his acreage in a smaller community in the suburbs nearby. I spoke with this fellow and he told me he is definitely interested in the project and it is something he can do but he is tied up with a large contract until the spring.

It's kind of a long way off but I'm sure I can make this happen with the JDM and the USDM lips in the future.

Thank you for the update. Like I said, if you need a good lip holla. I'll trade straight across for CF plus cash. My baby is tucked away for the winter so the lip will remain intact so I can beat the piss out of my new mx6.

I guess since I started this post I should keep an eye out here. Got John's car now so I have the JDM front end but I know there's a big interest here. If I drove in the winter I thnk I'd be inclined to remove the lip in the winter.

wytbishop wrote:I showed my lip to a guy here who runs a custom hot-rod resto mod shop. His fiberglass genius said sure, if I wanted to make just one, he could do it no problem, but to make a production mold would not really be up their alley.

He did however refer me to a friend of his who he says could do it in his sleep. I am going to go see him next week. I am also going to inquire about having him repair my stock GS lip and make a mold of that as well.

I still don’t have pricing, but I’m certain now that it can be done relatively easily.

BTW, the guy said that as far as factory parts go it was one of the best made plastic body parts he’s seen.
Are you referring to the stock GS lip as the best factory part?? If so what do you mean best made? IMO the design is s---. Needs to be reinforced muchly. Hence why they are always broken.

I showed him my JDM lip and he said compared to aftermarket stuff it was very well made and would be easy to mold. The dude they recommended told me he was busy with a contract until the spring. I plan to contact him again in March with both lips.
