Here are the pics. As you can tell the interior matches the exterior very well, but I want my mx3 to be blaze red, and then we have a problem. I accidentally clicked sumbit on the last post without adding the pics

The light colour makes the interior look more spacious.

well, I just found a black 1995 RS that I'm going to buy (just waiting on the guy). I only wish it was a GS like this one

There's a Champaigne GS in my neighborhood. I think it looks awesome. I love the interior.

I would buy that car from you if you were close...and it was in really nice shape...and I had any money...and my wife wouldn't kill me.

I wanted to get the sheetmetal treatment done on my bed for the datsun, get the tubs smoothed, step notch cover built, and a frenched in gas cap for my fuel cell. Told the wife I was takin the truck to the shop, and I got one of those looks......... Needless to say the box on my truck is still cut apart.....

I'm thinking of doing something like this to my dash (based on the miata below it), using the magic of 2 mins of photoshop What do you think?

If you're doing it, don't paint it, source a black dash. Too bad you're not closer, I'd sell you mine!

How difficult is this to do. As you can tell from the pictures, I don't want to swap in the whole black dash, just half of it

I painted mine and it's lasted years  but if you are going to get a black dash you will need to swap the whole thing since you have to take it out anyways. You can reuse the beige plastics for the lower part. I think it's a cool idea.

Since you're not going to swap to a 94+, its not too difficult, but it will be time consuming. Get the parts you want, set aside a weekend and do it right. You will be taking the whole thing out at once. While you're doing it, it will be a good time to clean your heater core and vent pipes.

Painting, if done right, can be ok...but why paint to an OEM color and risk it when there are better alternatives?

I'm guessing that to paint it, which is probably the route I'm going towards, you have to remove the dash right?
