I can say for myself, that the site has a much greater social component than it did in the past. I enjoy talking to the people I've gotten to know here as much as I enjoy sharing information and beating down newbies. The forum changes to match the needs of the people who use it most. The fact that it's managed to stay a basically civil, good natured place compared to the way most forums of this kind are, is a minor miracle.

I just recently came back to this community and thought the same thing. I used to be on 3 or 4 times a day years ago and I expected this place to be booming with activity when I returned. Socially this site has changed from 4 years ago but there is still a good group of people on the site. Technically and creatively this site has grown bigtime! I could not believe the amount of products that people have developed for this waning aftermarket. When I joined mx-3.com I never thought i'd see a day where there was a carbon hatch or a real set of aftermarket projectors being made. I was kind of iffy when I came back and almost re-sold my new project but after a few days of reading posts for 6 plus hours(I had surgery a week and a half ago so I can't move real good) I am super excited about becoming an active member in this community again. I can't wait to heal up and start blowing all my cash on my mx-3 just like the old days.

Me,too.
And 93SOHC, people are coming back. I bugged Cjthor out of MX-3 "retirement", and he's been awesome, helping us out.
It's funny; there isn't much comeraderie between mx-3s around here, that aren't on the forum. I always smile, wave, rev, whatever when there's another MX-3 around, and they don't respond. 1 was driving by my house with my 2 out front and I was smiling, and nodded at the driver, and he was looking @ me like "What the h#ll are you looking at?!".
And there's a modded red one around, about 15 miles from where I live. I revved at at the other day, and they didn't seem to notice. The girl at the parts store asked if my car was an MX-3, and I was REALLY impressed, because it's debadged and doesn't look like one anymore. She really wants another one. I found a local guy on cardomain that I invited to join here. He has a REALLY low miles car, and built 323s with CorkSport.
When I was into VWs, we did a mod where you'd flip a switch to turn offf 1 headlight for a second to "wink" at other VWs. I'm thinking about doing that again.

well there is big turnover of people on mx-3.com. Most people trying to get rid of their mx-3s as they age and get old and theres too many miles on them. Not many still holding onto them as only a few guys on here do.

honestly with most v6 guys it really is pointless to come to mx-3.com (besides about the car in general) there is so much more information on probetalk its not even funny. A lot of the old schoolers have come to this conclusion and are there now, but they pop over here from time to time.

I am more on probetalk.com
Atleast there they don't need tissues all the time cause all I hear is crying and negative comments on this board.
There are about 4 ppl on this forum I don't mind but thats it.
I know I won't post any pics of my car on the site anymore since for some reason 90% of ppl don't like it for some odd reason (90% of other boards everyone loves it).... I guess if I stuck a ZE in it and put rims on it and a fart cannon in the matter of 5 yrs I would be with the "in" crowd.
Thats just my 2 cents

People here don't like your car????? wtf lol
I think your car is sweet as hell. Ever since I first seen it, I was like 'wow'.
Everytime a friend visit's me and I show him pics on my comp of other ppls mx-3's... Your one of the first I show off.
I dont go on probetalk at all. My car is an mx-3, not a probe. Just because they have a v6 or whatever, I dont care. They can't relate to nothing on the appearence of our cars, only motor wise.
Oh, and this right here is why there is not many as there should be on this forum. Everyone bails because when someone gives them an opnion that they dont like they get mad and leave. THANKS!

Well I am still here, but I prefer the attitude from Probetalk!
The opinions get repetative when you post something new or something 1 off and the same ppl seem to bash it yet have no backing to there opinion cause they have a stock car and don't know the time it takes to make something more individual!
And thanks for showing my car off!

Opinions are like ... Everyone has em bro. You, I and everyone else on this forum that knows something about anything knows what it takes to get a car to the state that yours has reached. If you care what anyone thinks on here, care what I think. I've been threw that stage and it was HARD. molding in rear bumpers and stuff was a paint, specially on my zx2. I've been threw all that and I know what it takes. I'm sure people have respect for your car, But it's just not there style. To anyone who talks crap about it... F*CK EM!
