Lol, you guys think it was some cheapo imitation? When I get stuff done, I want it done right ;) Jimmie does some good work. He was confident that it was going to be really easy to reproduce and it seems like he's true to his word. It's good to have friends that can do stuff :)

I wanted to get at least 1 done as a test sample, see how it turned out, and I'm very pleased with how it turned out, I'm tempted to put one of those one rather than my SRD because it's all nice new and shiney

SuperK , can you say why it doesn't fit? I'd like to know if it's possible to modify the design of the GS one so that you can put it on an RS. I take it the RS doesn't have one at all.

Well no updates yet on the tiebar. Their machines have been super busy and the one that he does the work on Saturdays has been down.

On a plus note Devlin does have his SRD handle, so I've told him I would like to get it off of him, so if and when that happens, I'll look into getting that reproduced as well.

With the new front crossmember, would you still need to cut it to put turbo pipes in, or is it slim enough that it would clear it?

I'm interested in both. In pretty much every group buy on the site right now though, so I may be a little while getting funds to you.

Ya, still don't have a price on their cost yet. Don't worry tehbrookzorz, this one is a little slow going, but I'm not in a rush. No concerned about getting them done accurately and properly.

As for those running turbo kits, more likely this one would be in the way as the stock one. I think the aluminum one is actually a tad thicker than the stock one. So unfortunately for those running a turbo V6 and modified the crossmember, this won't resolve anything. For those running a turbo system that didn't require to modify the crossmember, I can't guarantee anything.

But ya, that's what I want to know. People say it doesn't fit, but why doesn't it fit on an RS?

Yes and no. I know on the GS's there's actually a nut welded inside the frame. The RS's probablly don't have it, and on the GS's, if you don't use an impact to break it loose, you'll just break the welds and the nut and bold will just spin, happened on mine, Colins and I've sure others as well.
