Well, I haven't updated this in over 2 years, But I guess this update will be the last. After a lot of time and thought, I decided to just junk the car. It took me 2 years to do this because I just didn't want to get rid of THE mx-3 that made me fall in love with these cars. But it was time; I had no space to tear it down, and come to find out it would have taken loads more work and more importantly, money, than I planned to get it streetable and safe.

She's been in the family for 6.5 years, served us well. Never really broke down, always kept going despite its condition. It was a trooper. RIP little mx-3, you will be missed.

Well, here's how it looked with the front end from my old GS:

And this is how it looked today after it was mildly parted out and loaded up on the trailer:

She sat LOW with no springs..and even lower once it was strapped down. It was tucking the rims...and they're only 15in. I thought it was kinda cool.

Big forklift taking the car bye-bye:

And its new home:

You guys are stuck with me ;) although I don't post much as it is. I rarely post at all on any other forum. I love mx-3's too much. I do plan to get another one eventually. I was hoping to buy another member's rolling chassis, but he never got back to me about a VIN check. Oh well. I think I'll try to buy a running/driving car for a change. None of my cars (5 to date) worked when I bought them. Its kind of annoying, haha.

Dragon1212 wrote:THat car is :crying: CRYING, It was used and abused and when it fell into the hands of someone who might care it was dumped and left to die when all it needed was a engine rebuild. You should be ashamed of your self, for beating the crap out of it (Quarter Panels) Stripping it and dumping it in some yard to RUST AWAY! :x HOw could anyone do that.
Lets see what all it needed:
motor
trans
mounts
axles
struts/mounts everything
EVERY bushing needed to be replaced.
everything suspension related
rear strut towers were rusted away.
frame rails crumbled with any sort of weight on them
there was nothing left of the rocker panels
the floor itself was cracking (yes cracking) and breaking apart.
needed new exhaust
all new brake components
The car was in a pretty bad wreck from the owner before us. the car was messed up.
the dents you speak of? yeah..who cares? The passenger side was nothing but bondo. The driverside dent occurred when we picked up on the car to slide it over.

the ONLY stuff worth salvaging would have been the interior parts.
The car was a piece of junk. It only lasted nearly as long as it did because my brother and I kept it going. (third trans, 3rd top end rebuild, and all sorts of other crap)

Now I ask you kindly Dragon, to edit your post. Its inappropriate. I'd rather junk the car, than be killed in it any day.

Oh yeah, you think that's bad? You should have seen what I did to my GS. By the time I was done with it, you couldn't even tell it ever used to be a car.

Joke? didn't sound like it. Try putting a "haha" or two, or maybe a "j/k" at the end next time. Then it'd be considered as a joke.
