okay! finally!

I can now boost to 7 psi with no problems!

WOW. that is all I can say.

this thing pulls like a bat outa he!! !

let just hope it stays together for now I guess

to whomever thinks that it won't be worth it to turbo one of these cars with the k8, well, it is.

This car is so fun to drive now it isn't even funny!!!!

my A/F are finally in the 12:1 range under boost, and everything is running great.

one small thing though, the exedy clutches don't smell good burning in the morning

it will grab in first and second, and half of third, but after that, it just makes a lot of noise, and goes nowhere. heh, I guess I have to go shopping for a new clutch I think.

so my question for today is:

What is a good clutch for boost?

I will search, but I am just looking for what people have used, and recommend.

I have a bpt and find the ACT to be ok BUT buy a way "bigger" clutch than you need, I got one rated for 250 ft/lb which was great initially then I ventured into 15 psi territory.... I have a slight slippage in 5th now but damn I love boost!

i know that numbers tell you nothing on the road, but just to show off ...

A K8 with, let's say, 3 or 4 psi boost ... is pulling how many horses ? maybe 160hp/crank ?
A KLDE with, let's say, 7 or 8 psi boost ... is running how many horses ? maybe 220hp/crank ?
A KLZE with, let's say, 3 or 4 psi boost ... is running how many horses ? maybe 260hp/crank ?

well, my k8 has 7-8psi boost, and it sure pulls well, I will try to dyno it this spring. Unless I blow it up before then.
