no info yet really since i'm just looking at the interest...

The sportlines you posted someone is already doing a GB for or trying to organize it at least however it doesn't count for anyone in america cause they won't sell to us they have a seperate distributor in the states we'd have to go through and cost is a lot higher

the cobra's look interesting so i sent them an email but it is going to be pricy cause the company is in northern europe and shipping will be huge

ellis engineering seem like a load of bs. not releasing shock dyno information??? ellis engineering giving us 2 points on a graph would only let us know 2 points on a chart. we have no idea if the dampers are progressive, digressive or linearly valved. the only way we can know how they are valved would be to see the damper dyno. there is no other way around it.

like engines, you can only properly tune on a dyno that can hold steady state load.

would u believe someone has 1000hp mx3 or would u want to see the dyno?

The cobras are very expensive but look pretty good, the EVO 3 type do anyway.

Here is the reply I got:

Hello Daniel

Thank you for your interest in the Cobra Suspension. We are the UK dealer for the cobra suspension products. The prices for the coilover kit prices are listed below for you. Both kits will lower your car between30 and 60mm.

Evo 1 kit - £657.18 inc vat.
Evo 3 Kit - £1150.68 inc vat.

The cost for the postage will be £20.00 inc the vat.

Regards

Then I asked him about a group buy and got this reply:

Hello Daniel

We can ship them to anywhere in the world. We may be able to offer a discounted price I will after to see if we can get a deal with the factory before we make a final decision on them.

Regards
Darren

be fore we start another group buy of something expensive.(referene v6 turbo kit, & cowl kit)

First thing is can we get references of past group buys and/or happy customer. the person who is doing the group buy contact references & not just go by email or letters

second of all, lets make sure this is a direct bolt in
third I think there has to be a few different kits
a street kit
a race kit

what is the difference in the two kits cause prices are way up there. These better be really good quality and come with absolutely everything

EVO 1 Kit: $1289.59 USD plus 39.25 shipping
EVO 3 kit: $2257.89 USD plus 39.25
shipping price can't be right cause that is what i was charged for a strut bar from england, seems like a suspension kit shoud be more

what exactly do each of these kits come with also?

that postage estimate is for Ireland only. the evo3 kit are damping adjustable. if you check the website you will find info about the different types. I'm just gonna get K-sports now because they are the cheapest option and come with the camber plates, if it worked for other people I cant see why it wont work for me. I know alot of people who say K-sport make good quality stuff so im just gonna buy the mx-6 kit and adapt them to fit

Who have you been in contact with?? I was trying to contact the UK website but got no reply through email, I only just ordered a set over the phone today but I can cancel it if you think you can arrange this group buy by the end of february, I need the coilovers for the next trackday which is in early march.

what sort of discounts are they offering and do they currently make this kit or are they making a few just for a group buy?

since you are in ireland i'd suggest trying to get in with that AST buy that was trying to be organized cause you can get the AST's for pretty cheap in that group and shipping will be cheap for you

there is no interest in the AST buy and they don't come with top mounts so overall the k-sport kit is about €400 cheaper and you get the pillowball mounts with it. I rang back K-sport uk and they dont know anything about a set being produced for the mx-3. Where did you get this info from?? I cannot cancel that order anyway because the payment has gone through so I wont be able to participate in the group buy. its still only costing me €1120 anyway so i'm still happy!!
