Talked to derrick today. He said the gt28 series will be a bit laggy on my 1.6. Reccomended the 25 series. how does this sound?

As for where to purchase the turbo:

http://www.corksport.com (I got the 30R and the GT32 both from Corksport)
http://www.atpturbo.com
http://www.cheapturbo.com
I tried corksport first. Derrick has yet to email me back from a week ago. I think they have been pretty busy since they lost a tech. Imma wait to hear from him as I would love to keep business local.!

I still say the T3 Super 60 is the best turbo for your intended goals.

Pretty sure I am going this way!!

Good luck Jarid,

I personally am looking at going with a normal T3 or a T28 from a Skyline GTR when I decide to change my turbo. I am not aiming for 280-300whp but rather around 230-250whp with quick response and fast spoolup.

no prob man. I hit 225whp with my current setup. My turbo and manifold will be for sale soon!

I have a chance to pickup a needs building: T3 Tb03 .42A/R for 125 Can...

What characteristics do you guys think this turbo will provide?..

stock wastegate is 6-7psi and although it's the only turbo i've ever held in my hands... it seemed TINY...

Question Jarid, when you were at the 225whp was the engine built in any way? How much boost were you running? Just trying to get a feel as to how much boost I would need to run on my modified engine with the T3 or T28 to get around 230whp.

I had cam gears, underdrive pulley, no ac, super afc, 370cc injectors, portwork on head....and I think thats it. Boost was 12psi if I recall...might have been 15.

Good luck. I am gonna wait to see these #'s, and BTW, Derrick is a Autcross Guy, so any turbo that spools at or arround 3500 is laggy to him :)

After doing some research I found a place in Florida with good prices on Garrett turbos.
