It looks like import_ryder used the mx's hatch to make it all del soly like.

this post made me think...for weight, why not remove the glass and fill the hole with sheet metal or a large CF piece? It would still have the nice lines, but be way way lighter.

Or, even better: Buy a sheet of clear Polycarbonate (Lexan), and replace the window. It looks stock, and you keep the aerodynamics, and save about 60, or 70 lbs.

But how cool might a louvered full sheet metal hatch look like. Sculpt in a few ridges for strength. If I was a better sketch artist I would render something.

Or a full CF hatch with no glass. Just imagine it.

I was going to do C/F, but I drove without my rearview mirror, and it SUCKED! The Polycarbonate weighs almost the same as a strong enough piece of C/F would (about 16 lbs).

Holy crap thats nuts! :shock: Its like looking at a cross between an MR2 & Del Sol.... Did he mould a piece of glass in? Can't quite tell of the pics.

A guy my team uses makes all our stuff, my buddy just got his hatch for his 93 Turbo probe done!

but is it hard to do the del sol hatch conversion how much work would have to b done to get to fit right i know u would have to shape the back for the light but im tlkin about where u bolt it on do u have to do alot of work to get the hatch on there im just cerious cuz im a body and want to figure that out to try it mi mx-3 i think it loks pretty kool...well if u guys can tell me that would be great thnx
