any updaes on the Tach problem? I just picked up a 6AL with the Blaster 2 coil and was looking to install it soon. Thanks for the diagram steve... should help a lot. I might give you a call for some backup if you have time

Did you ever get this tach problem fixed? Was it the incorrect wattage of 1K ohm resistor? You might need a 1 Watt, 1k ohm resistor.

no I never worked it out, and didn't try it out too. I was using the tach in my MS when I needed it.

Sorry I can't be any help. Probably the msd tach adapter would have work this out

tach adapters dont work, i tried both the msd tach adapters, and my tach was still going crazy..

Is anyone running this setup, with no tach problems?
If yes, what is your exact setup (ie, what resistor)?

I've followed this problem for the past few years and no one that I've read has ever written the solution.

I had a MSD 6A on my car running a klde I ahd in it for a few ays befire I rebuilt it with ZE internals. MY tach wnet funky just past 5000rpm

Fieromx3 also ran a MSD 6AL in his and he tried multiple tach adaptors and resistors and the tach always went fuky at around 5000rpm.
