how do you do that? i've got a 5spd gs and have gone over 7k(maybe 100-200 over) before but the needle kept on going, so i let off....it was as if there was no limiter.

am i just a wuss?
Yes. Fuel cutoff doesn't come until the tach reads 7800 RPM.

How did they come up with those times on that website? 9.2 seconds? Maybe with 4 people in the car. Or maybe that was an auto.

Usually using a external timing device that also measures speed. Most speedos are not accurate, yours coulud read 60 but be doing 55.

is there any way to re-calibrate that?

i know there's a site where you can set your wheel size and it'll tell you how long it's supposed to take you to travel one mile at a certain speed.

Best luck would be using a phone book and making a lot of phone calls. Shouldnt be too hard to find a tranny shop that can do it or point you in the right direction. Either way its not usually worth being worried about.

removed it and it was clogged.,...still slow lol more acceleration but slow still compared that what it used to be..maybe its because the 205-55-r16 tires and rims..maybe they are heavier..go figure..
