I agree with the streetable thing, but i love the red light races where the ZE power pours out the torque steer and I have to fight to stay out of the other guys car. But, a lsd should help that and maybe letting the pedal down alittle easier. :freak:

If I had the money I'd do something REALLY twisted.........................

Like a ummmmmmmmmm...........
26B 4 rotor
3.11 gears
GT-60 turbo (1450HP-2000HP)
400HP Wet NX System w/ Progressive Controller
Tube Frame
Methanol
Motec
Custom IC
Carbon Fiber Body
Twin Parachutes

Thats a good 2300HP to da wheels baby!!!! That would set records....if I could track it (Thats why it would be Tubbed!)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

However I did the B6T just for small displacement bragging rights. :freak: :welder:

I definately Peripheral Port it since it is a track only car. Or just design and mill new rotor housings with a revision that moves the water jackets out further from the port, then it wouldn't fail like the Peripheral Ported engines have a tendancy to do.

I know........I'm totally mentally deminted!
Bllaaahhh Bllaaaahhhhhhhh BBBlllllllllllaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh! LOL :freak: :welder:

Come on, KL-ZE with 5-6 psi boost = up to ~270 HP. Who really needs any more than that! Higher torque on the low end'll tear you off the line! LSD will keep those wheels down!
And, as always, the V6 sound won't be mistaken for noisy lawn equipment.

nahhhhh....thats weak.

Mine would TEAR u off the line and the pit crew would have to scrape your a$$ of the seat at the end of the line!!!!!!!! The sound of a 4 rotor 26B can't be beat in my opinion. A peripheral ported 26B is good for 700HP in naturally aspirated trim (w/ NO forced induction). Not to mention the flat torque curve of a rotary coupled w/ Nitrous!! :freak: :welder:

Mine's not practical thou

Yes they did. They used a 700HP peripheral ported N/A 26B 4 rotor to win the 24hr. LeMans, I think it was the 726 racecar. Turbo mag featured a BMW drag car from Aussie that had a 26B 4 rotor twin turboed at over 1300RWHP. The 26B's are mostly used in Airplanes though. I think the last price I saw was like $20,000. Go to www.rotarynews.com.

The 4 port engines were used in the 787B race car. After Mazda won, they banned rotary engines from Le Mans. Mazda is also the only Japanese manufacturer to ever win Le Mans. So next time a Honda kid wants to talk about "Hondas the greatest" mention that. :2thumbsup:

Umm No. Jim Downing raced rotary engines at LeMans long after 1991.

He still races his 4-rotor every year in the American LeMans series.

Here is a pic I took last year at the Chevy Grand Prix of Atlanta.

Mazda pulled out because they accomplished what they set out to do. They Won LeMans in their first try and had nothing else to prove.

Do a Google Search for "Jim Downing" and you will see that he is a Mazda racing god. He has been racing rotary cars since they came out.
