Oh, i totally believe you man. It just sucks here, didn't really even matter what size engine mine was, still paying $260 a month with 2 tickets on my record, not even big tickets.

i know theres an insurance agent on here. maybe they'll come and clear up the 2 door vs 4 door insurance costs. i for one think it makes a big difference. oh yah and where do u find a maxima and sentra with the same engine?

you know...if we all traded our MX-3 in for one car....we could get it free...All we have to do is set up a time share...anyone interested?

But all in all, the rotor are triangle, 3 sides to compress, burn, and do the exhaust, and a piston can only do that one at a time.. ( that's not what the mathematical formula tell, but it give an idea ). If you search the Wenkel engine, you'll find the formula soon..

Wow. I've heard the arguement that it's rated at half it's effective displacement, but not 1/3. At any rate, that's incorrect. If you really care why Mazda's engineers actually CAN calculate displacement, check www.rx7forums.com .

Humm.. Yeah, I might be wrong there.. As I didn't have the correct Mathematical formula.. Let me some time, I'll find it, and post. But about the rotor, for the cylinder comparason, I know the formula go something like "number of rotor * 2 * 3/2 = Cylinders comparaison" ..
Might it be the displacement is "Displacement * 3/2" ... Dah.. I don't want to tell more without back-up..

Ok, I can't get my hand on the formula..
For that time being, I'll retire my word on the rotary engine. I can't prove what I say..
Oh well..
But, on another topic.. Still wish to get one of those one day! Rx-8 ;)
