here is exactly what i'm thinking of...i have a navy blue blanket just like this...its awesome

http://www.macys.com/catalog/product/index.ognc?ID=14610&CategoryID=7504&LinkType=EverGreen&bhcp=1

notice the description....soft, velvety fabric that's hypoallergenic and won't pill.

This is sooo true of the blanket i have. No peices of crap stick to it ever, and it doesn't produce any dust at all (a plus in a car) and its soft as hell.......its really nice.

I've had my blanket for like 4+ years and it still looks like it could be new. I use it as a backdrop for carparts when I take pics of them lol:

Answer to question above ..... yes, neoprene like wet suit material. They make it in various thicknesses and sell it in bulk. It's easy to clean and pretty durable.

Flourescent green threading is better for me than mazda green. I was talking about FAUX mink fur. I don't think PETA would have any problem with a fake animal skin! anyways, I think I would like the combination of c/f and velour. now just have to wait for pricing to see if I can afford it. Chances are if they are as much as yours cost, then I will prabably just get a pair of 94+ seats from a wrecker.

Sorry guys, Christmas and all. Hope you had good holidays. As soon as I get out for a visit to Perry's shop, I will have more details for you. Hopefully he is open Tuesday, my day off. As soon as I know more, I will update.

To give everyone heads up on the GB upholstery kits. I will be finishing the GB for the shifter/e-brakes first. I'd like to get a better count on the number of people serious, really serious about custom covers. I'm gauranteeing an excellent fit for 92/93 models. A pair of seats will be covered and pictures will be sent to show the fit and finish. The covers have to be made so that anyone can install them with ease. Everyone interested can see for themselves that what they will receive is show quality. Materials used will be top quality. If vinyl is used, it will look like leather and wear well. If you're looking for a cheap, quick set of covers please reconsider. For the amount of time involved and materials used for each set of covers, shotcuts and cheap materials is not what I'm about. I've been in the auto upholstery business for going on 15 years so I can gaurantee you a product that will wow people at shows. Each pair of front seats will take a full day to produce so it's first come first serve. With 2 to 3 people producing we can get the covers out quickly. 10 people starts the ball rolling.

Perry,
about the same here. I would be interested in a set with black venyl on the outside, grey venyl on the inside but I need a ballpark first.

Yes. A ballpark is important so we all know where we stand. If it's too steep, I'll probably just have my wife take a stab at it. She's a seamstress anyways, and has some good vinyl/leather sewing machines at work. But I'd rather have someone used to doing upholstery do it if it's a reasonable price.

Not true. If there is enough interest from 94+ style seat owners, Perry will do those too. But I think we need to see if the 92-93 style Possible GB will work successfully first.
