Apparently, everything has already been painted over. With His love-affair with CF, I dont see why he would paint over all that CF...

Also-- Marsh-- if you had molds of all that stuff to make CF parts-- Dude, why the heck arent you making more of them and selling them for lots of $$$???

If you are for real, then you could be making a$$loads of $$ off this stuff.

Like I said in one of my previous posts-- I REALLY hate to be a hater-- but I just dont believe that you have an almost all CF car.

Okay man-- but why would he lie on his site??

Taken directly from SRD's site 1 minute ago:
7/00 - MX-3 Rear hatch garnish discontinued - mold was destroyed and too costly to reproduce
Only a few of them were made -- like 2 or 3-- before the mold was destroyed. This was before your time-- but I remember it being discussed on the Yahoo! E-Groups back in the day.

Besides-- if it was sold to Corksport-- then they would be making money off of a product like this because it would sell like crazy.

Oh Marsh--

I would love to see pics of that dash when you are done-- it looks pretty good so far. Cant wait to see it in the car.

That engine piece looks okay too-- a bit wavy, but a nice idea that I have been thinking about doing as well.

I would like to see a CF Wiper-cowl produced. I would for sure buy one of those.

t-rose. it does look like i stuck cloth in there huh? if you guys like, i can have jdogsd1 visit and check out the parts and vouch for everything. idno how else to prove it to you guys.

the reason why i haven't been selling these or trying to is because of the rules jeff has set in situations like this. plus, i was planning to sell a few items, but right now me and jeff are in the discussion stage.

i still have the molds for everything, but again, they are simply skins to replace the hatchback skin, door skin, etc. i made a seperate mold for the frame parts for roof and hatchback which i remade in fiberglass with strands of kevlar. i wasn't sure if people were up to all the custom work that was still involved to have their door removed with an air chisel and attatching the skin. that was one main reason why i didn't sell these also.

mazda78, i haven't made a carbon copy of the hatch garnish. im still using the stock one.

and one reason why i painted over all the cf was because i knew i couldn't do the rear fenders (which was attatched to the front pillars and stuff) because that piece was so big. i didn't want my car looking like it had black primered doors and bumpers and fenders with the rear fenders still gunmetal and my hood still gunmetal (im working on my cf hood and adding a vented piece to it). from close up, the car would seriously look nice, but from afar it'll look like a mixed paint job car. i also noticed that sometimes, people won't appreciate a full cf car that was exposed. i saw an e36 that was full cf and everyone ripped on him. he recently painted it red. i mainly did it for weight savings and for the nice details you notice in the interior (the cf cloth behind the frames). idno if i explained it well.

i am for real, i just don't have the time to sell these parts, unless i really pursued starting some sort of company that sold these parts. although i make it sound like it's a simple hobby, its still a looong process that costs lots of money.

cf wiper cowl, is that the piece that goes where the wiper arms are? that black one between the windshield and hood? ive been thinking of doing that too because after getting faded, i painted it. now it just gets dirty easily. i'll take a look at the piece later on and examine it.

maybe when i can really perfect this craft, i'll re-do the panels in cf again so there are no flaws in it and not paint over anything. the pieces i made showed a few flaws after coming out of the vacuumbags, and wouldn't look too appealing.

Yep, That one.

I have 3 buyers RIGHT NOW that would buy one if the price/quality/fitment were right.

Let me know if you are interested & maybe we can work something out.

dash is almost finished being trimmed and pieces are fitting on pretty good. center a/c vent is being stubborn though. after this step, i'll have to make a copy of the understructure that bolts the dashpad to the frame rails. THEN i'll be able to bolt everything together, clean up the interior a bit, and hopefully post finished pics by next week.

btw, if you're wondering what that flat cf piece is, its my heater control panel that i removed and turned into a switch panel.

in the 2nd pic, there's a small patch of fabric covering a hole that was caused through shipping. other than that, i had to use a square foot of fabric on the left side of the dash because the fabric wasn't wide enough. there wasn't any real way of getting around this problem though, so i had no choice.

Marsh, If you are really serious about this hobby-- then you could turn it into more than a hobby and actually make money off of it. Do yourself a favor and do the paperwork to get a business license and start a CF business so you can become a vendor ( & therefore get the larger pieces).

Its not that expensive to get a business license.

And How are you making a CF hood if the pieces you are getting are too small?? Please dont tell me that you are going to have seams on your hood....
