Ok, after I wrote the guy back, he sent me this e-mail:

Hello,

Thank you all for your interest in the revival of the MX-3 Slim Visors! I
just wanted to email everyone to let you know that you are indeed on the
waiting list, and to let you know what's up with the production of the Slim
Visors.

As you all know, we are just getting back into the business of making Slim
Visors and putting them out into the market. However, from feedback from
some of our previous customers, we've found out that the rear of the MX-3
Slim Visors were cause for concern. MX-3 Slim Visors were not the first
ones to be made. They were originally exclusive to the popular Honda/Acura
cars. On those models, the Slim Visors had a distinctive "kick" at the back
end of it. This was more for style than functionality. So when we designed
them for the MX-3, we incorporated that kick at the bottom as well.
However, it has come to our attention that this kick was allowing droplets
of rain water to curve into the interior of the car.

So this has prompted us to quickly redesign the top end of the MX-3 Slim
Visors. We've basically removed the kick, and made the visor finish off
straight across. So rain water will just follow along the profile of the
Slim Visor, and should just flow right off the body of the car, rather than
get flipped into the interior. A prototype will actually be ready later
this week, so I will be testing it on my car. Once everything is to our
satisfaction, then production will begin shortly after!

Thank you again for your patience in this matter. I assure you, you will
not be disapopinted! As always, please feel free to email me with any
questions or concerns, and I will try to be as much help as I can.

Gary its good to see that u are changing it. i have 2 sets of those. one installed and one just sitting in the garage.
yes, that "kick" made water come in the car.
for those of u who do not "see" what it is, look at my car pics

Gary, can u please take a look at the pic that shows the front of the visor. can u build the visor a bit wider so the gap will be covered?

Thanks for those pics. Been toying with ordering the ones on Sreet-Import for around 1/2 the price but was seriously considering the slim visors instead... at least I was until viewing your pics of that front gap. Think I'll pass. Thanks again.

perhaps08, i like the visor to do two things:
1. look good, make the car look better.
2. function properly

#1 is ok, the visor does look good

#2 is not too hot. since its pretty hot here in Houston, tx, i like to leave the windows a bit open while the car is parked out in the Full sun.
this helps the heat get out the car, ie reduce heat buildup in the car.

leave the car windows fully up in the parking lot, come back a few hours later and the hot is so hot inside. leaving the windoes slightly open helps disipate the heat build up.
well the visor helps remove the hot air, but i do not like the gap it has. it would be nice if the gap was not there. Guess if the visor was a bit wider in the front, the gap wud not be there

for those of u who will say, "well leave the windows completely up", well read why i like to keep them a bit open.

Nallboy, I sent a "testing" email to you, because when I sent the last update, yours was the only email that got bounced back.

Yikes, I guess I should have bookmarked this thread. Sorry I've been MIA from here guys.

Anyways like you've seen from the update posted above, we have been redesigning the Slim Visors. Three major changes:

1. The "kick" at the back has been removed, so basically the bottom of the visor will go Straight across now

2. The front of the visor (the narrowest part) is a few milimeters closer to the "triangle" by the mirror.

3. The overall curve of the bottom of the visor is smoother now. This also makes the whole visor a few millimeters wider overall.

I've got a clear prototype of the new model, which I will overlay over the existing slim visor on my car, so that you guys can see the differences. Pictures should be ready by the weekend.

Guys on the waiting list, thanks for your patience. Be on the lookout for updates shortly.

Guys who want a set, please email me with your:
- Full Name
- Full Mailing Address

Thanks everyone.
