Yeah, Taras knows his optics quite well I would say and he made some good points there.
I would like those questions answered too.
Did you ever get the molds made? You said you were doing it the other day. Just curious.
How many molds/headlamps are you selling the first time around???
Thanks.
~A

Thanks Aiden.
Just to add something else as it was mentioned above. Although I have not had previous experince with GTS headlight covers firsthandedly. I have heard from various sources that they could be scratched just by looking at them. It does not mean that you could not use them. I would suggest using 3M clear film that some of BMW crowd favours so much to prevent cracks in their expensive headlights. It will also make your covers stronger as it is made of acrylic and cracks easy. Bonus - no more polishing.

Hey AZ-3.... I think you'll have all the guys you need... but it really sounds like all the guys need a firm price with true specs on what it is that they're buying. So, without assuming anything as far as the manufacturing process goes, I wanna know. The lights definitely look tight, but what's the bottom line????

Absolutely Fabulous!!
I love the design on the lights, but I too will need more info on specs, wiring, lamps, and of course $$$.
Just wanted to let you know there's one more interested party out there.

Hey, any more info on these lights?
I'd hope for them to be a bust all of a sudden.
You haven't posted any more info yet so I'm guessing nothing's going on with these.
I highly doubt they would sell a harness with these. They're soo easy to make it's not worth it.
~A

Here is a base so that we wont overpay if these lights ever get made.
The projector units themselves cost:
68136 H9 High...$95
68137 H9 Low ...$95
68143 H7 Low ...last time I check it for myself, it was $99 retail. I believe those H9's retail is $119 each.
Now, as for making the pod, well that wont cost much at all. Maybe, maximum, $200 worth of supplies but that would be pushing it.
As for a price on these bad boys, anything more than $400 (CAN) the person would be trying to make a profit on us (which I dont think you can do in a GB).
~A

I think $400 (CAN) is a little low. AZ-3 is not making them, he will be getting them from a custom shop. Im sure the shop will want to make a profit(even though AZ-3 wont).
you cant expect the shop to make 20 sets of headlights for free.
I would like a price around $600-$750 CAN.

aiden recheck your prices.
http://www.susquehanna.com/susq/new.htm
54 each for true hella housings low beam projector and high beam
700 is way too much...
az-3 u can just order the housings from hella seperate from the already made focus housings. what type of projector lense does apc use? it seems like it would be cheaper to mount the seperate housings then fabricate a front bezzle for it. i think your setup looks nice. i would definately be willing to throw down up to maybe $300-400 usd it had a long range driving light in it too so it has 3 beams.
