In some Mazda literature, they refer to all engines for the Japanese market as KLZE's, and for the american Market as KLD(E)'s. Look at the compression ratio. That's whats going to clue you in.

The Green curve is a KLZE running an ECU from a Ford Probe KLDE; very different VRIS poitns as shown by the dips in the curves @ the KLDE VRIS points [172whp @ 5900RPM, 160 ft lbs @ 5000RPM]. This is Michel Fortier aka SuperProbe's dyno, which was a curved neck, KL01 cammed KLZE. Manufacturer's have lied about power output, but dyno's can't.
Do you have a dyno that proves otherwise?

And the parasytic accessories are taken into account in the 86.5% Man this got hot quick. Can some one show me a like from mazda with the specs to an Eunos 800 ...Oh wait I can't eather but I can show you one from mazda on a millenia with a J-spec KL-ZE and the compressin is 9.2:1 not 10:1 and it's 190HP COOL RIGHT !!!! ??

OK. now What if the KL-ZE Eunos 800 only has 9.2:1 compression @ 190 Horsepower. Not the 10.1 That would mean the engine would be a beast forced induced. Right?

This board is for posting fact and the Opinion of many. We sort thru the bull **** to find the truth. I have shown thru research that some people are running Eunos 800 KL-ZE engines with 164 -170 hp depending on Year. Mr. Coleman has provided proof than some people have 190 to 200 HP Eunos 800 Engines. What part of this was waisted bandwith?
It took 14 hours for someone to post fact instead of what they heard from another guy.
The reason That I posted this post in the search of truth because of incorrect information from Mazda In this press release of the Xedos 9 (Eunos 800)
http://www.media.mazda.com/press_info/mazda_xedos9/xedos9_pressinfo.pdf
They call it a 120Kw KL-ZE. Then they go and call it a KLD with 9.2:1 compression at the end. Well now aren’t you confused. So do you think then that they miss quoted it as a KL-ZE or do you think they miss quoted it as a KLD?
Now this link from mazda Japan
http://www.millenia.mazda.co.jp/spec04.html It states the Millenia has 140Kw 190PS witch is 190.3Hp but the compression is still 9.2:1. Strange how in 2 separate cases Mazda may have fouled the information. This my friends is why I ask the question and put the KL-ZE eunos 800 on trial.
I am more confident that people who have an eunos 800 are running 190hp but I can not say that if someone asked me what engine to buy, I would say an Eunos 800. I think I would tell them to source the correct Manifold but to by a straight neck KL-ZE with KL31 on the engine and to put it in writing that the cams are KL-31. But then there is Dave who posted the Dyno of the Eunos 800 With KL101 Cams … Hmmmmm his compression is 10.1. But what about the poor people who buy an Eunos and end up with an engine described in the press release as 9.2:1 or the one that is KLD with 120Kw.
Scary this is….. Scary this is.

One thing to check too all the Jap spec Eunos 800 motors that I have seen have had an extra 3/8" vac port on the VRIS #1 runner. The U thing.

this is with a cork sport re-programmed ecu to ZE specs, stock exhaust and no ait filter, thats it, as I said it was crazy hot in there.
The proper conversion is to divide the numbers by 0.85 to get corected H.P.(this is equal to a 15% drive train loss.)
