I had enough of sinking money into stuff which i will never get back my money for it.

well my motor is at the shipping station and they will deliver it by tuesday. as soon as i install it and then dyno tune it with the haltech i will try to post my dyno sheets and hopefully they show me right at near 250 whp. wouldnt mind 240-250hp. im just glad that its a gtr with the bb turbo so i can reach that power without upgrading the turbo. YET. anyways thats my progress so far in 2004 and from here i plan on primering my whole car and getting rid of all the dents and such and getting the pak bumper and molding the sides in. install my fmic and paint the car yellow and gun metal rims black. then ill be working on the interior. those are my secrets but when im done ill have pics. hopefully this year sometime i can install my coil overs as soon as i get my shocks. well thats pretty much it but my motorwise i want about 250 to the ground with the gtr and then ill be content for awhile. motor wise im going to paint the block and head black like my gtx and then i already have the valve cover powder coated yellow and with yellow wire loom. install the metal hose sleeve kit and dip my strut bar in chrome and powder coat the ends that bolt to the bay itself yellow. and then powder coat my blaster 2 coil and msd ignition yellow to match everything and top it all off with my mazdaspeed oil cap (i have that already). then get a mazdaspeed radiator cap.

yeah thats about it. sorry its so freakin long. but i think thats it. ill post pics when i get things done.

the radiator cap is not a perfect fit. i had to do some modification to the bends in the cap to get it to fit tight, but i still haven't been able to test the cap while the car is running to see if it holds the pressure safely enough. the cap has a smaller rubber insert (that plugs the hole) than the stock rad cap. hopefully it'll still work.

Well I bought mine as a project car a few months back. So far, bought the car, bought the power side view windows, replaced the cv joints, fixed a few small things in the interior, fixed the latchings for the hood, plastic polish (actually made for boats lol) for the headlights, steam cleaned the engine, and bought a cheap radio (it was a scrap car when I got it and had no radio) all for less than $1300...

Now trying to find someone in my area to work on my engine possibly for an engine swap and fix my timing belt. Just can't find any good mechanics that want to touch it... I don't know too much about engines but the mechanics here sound a little shady... or they straight out admit they don't want to touch a Mazda... haha anyone want to help me in this area? Haha...

In addition, I found a local junk yard with some wrecked MX-3s offering some pretty good deals on parts such as the whole interior (seats, trim, floor boards, door panels, etc) that has minimal wear and tear for $125.

In addition, buy a new passenger door thanks to the nifty t-boning that happened while in the possession of the prior owner. Fix the sunroof that my husband broke one day as it fell of the tracks and it started raining... go figure... Then when finished with all that: Paint it

So, I got a couple things in the works. Its pretty much stock parts in it right now. So, its due for some fixing. Just trying to figure out what to do since this is my first car and all...
