Got it figured out.
I switched back to the KL55 EEPROM, but forgot to switch back to a KL02 VAF....
The plugs were super fouled, but it was so fresh it didn't take long to wear it off on the proper A/F.
Everything else seems okay, except maybe the milage. Are ZE injectors bigger than DE injectors?
replaced the O2's as well.

Congrats on round 2, hope it goes much better.

That sucks man. Nice when it fires up first time and runs great but anyway. So how does your engine sound? So the Stoker chip bombed out. He's going on Holidays and may not be reachable till mid July. Keep us up on every development no matter how small.

The motor has 150 km's on it.
Its going on a 800km treck in 5 hours. I get to leave at 4:00 AM. whoo.
I have no idea what the milage is like, it should be exactly like a KLDE (since the injectors are the same)
Engine sounds like a louder, meaner K8. Still running 2", stock Y pipe/headers/muff, no cat, and a short res.
I'm terrified to bring it over 5k, so I won't for a long time. It starts to pull up there though....
Oil pressure at hot cruise is around the 50 PSI mark.
Its impossible to get it properly in time, so its running around 13 degrees advanced. It just doesn't like ten degrees and 1000 rpm.

Runs great. 1000km's on it now, got 26 MPG on the 800km journey.

Alrighty, the car is back at home with a solid 2000km on it now.
Here's a recording of the idle. First half is standing over the engine bay, second half is by the tailpipe. Exhaust is stock, except the cat is replaced with a 12" resonator, and there is a massive leak just off the Ypipe (in-a-hurry-silicon gasket lasted 1200 km)
Colt .355/218ยบ cams (NA race grind)
Interprep valvesprings
cheapo WAI
KLDE block/heads with ZE pistons
Fully balanced
Idles at 700 RPM
idle:

tiny rev (6k)

I love the idle. Exactly what I was hoping for with those cams. Drivability is still excellent, I can putts around in 1st gear at 1000 RPM and still have plenty of jam. Car feels the same from 1000 to 4000 RPM, and then there's an increase in power up to 5 and it pulls the same from there to 6.5, which is as high as I've taken it. It will see 8 yet some day, I'm just too scared for now...

I don't think your recording does it justice. It definitely doesn't sound as awesome as I bet it does in person. In video (the first one) it sounds like a huge truck..

Seriously Dan, what the hell.
Where do you find s--- like that? hahahaha... what were you watching that made that come up in "recommended videos" ?
I'm booked in the exhaust shop for this Friday to get the massive leak fixed -> Egay headers, full 2.5", cherry midway, and Magnaflow at the end, no tip.

Ha Ha. Ryan have you looked into the Vibrant Ultra Quiet Resonator or are you looking for more of a tough sound? I just find the resonance on the highway interferes with my music not having a good resonator. But then again I'm old right.
Ryan I actually spent a good 10 mins finding that video cuz buddy, your worth it.
