I may just do that! Put the res in behind the shifter than a round manga flow muffler in an a tip! I love that idea cause I am not a fan of cannons on cars!! Sorry that's just the farm boy in me!!

yeah I got over them a long time ago. I ran one on my RS for like 4 years dumped it and never went back. Besides if you are going to run 2.5" you want it pretty free flowing, straight through resonator/ muffler would do the trick.

So I have been doing some hunting around for an exhaust that will work an I might have a system that I could do.
Start with a 10" flex pipe, next would be a magnaflow 18146 res, then a 4" magnaflow muffler 10416 and ending off with a magnaflow tip 35206

I dont know if I will need the resonator but I would like your opinion on it!!

I would go with it and if it happens to be too quiet for your taste then you can always take it out later. the Turbo does a good job of cutting down on noise though. I would IMO

My exhaust came today!! I don't have a picture of the tip held up to the bumper cause its to cold an crappy out but I will see what I can do for later!the tip fits perfectly for my bumper!! The angle matches the curve an I have an inch around the sides of the tip!
I don't know when I will get the picture of it held in place cause my son made his grand arrival on January 8th! So been alittle busy being a first time daddy!

Had a quick minute to play with the car abit today so thought I would get around to snapping the pictures of how my exhaust tip would look just placed in the correct spot.






It looks awesome cant wait to get in installed! Also started it up to see how she ran and she purred like a panther(can't say kitten cause it has no exhaust )

Also my financial planner(the wife) has giving me the go ahead to powder coat my pipes..... hehehehe matte black here I come. One I my buddies is going to trade me BOVs he has the same HKS as mine but his is black so it won't be silver on black piping!

Yeah I have made it into a great car! Just have a couple small issues ie:new cam shaft seals are leaking(not sure if its from running 10w30 synthetic) also have to replace the rad an hoses an the coolant line going to the turbo! Plus get my pipes powder coated!

It's the little details!



Got them powder coated inside an out for $95 bucks!!! The color is Gun Metal w/gloss! It should go perfectly with all the other colors of my engine!!
