I was gonna say... were you running any antifreeze at ALL?

And that hole rusts out in almost every MX-3...

Aside from that... perfect!

Hows it running? That old waterpump area looked effin nasty
It was running great overall, until the clutch hose exploded, braided replacement on the way! I've some issues with duty cycle getting to high and coolant temp over reading, but it runs well as is. Apart from that I love it, it's like going from k8 to ZE all over again :) Except ultimately even faster. Thanks for the feedback :) Just trying to decide what to do to make the bay tidier now.

Thanks Ryan! HA I know that engine was ran on limestone and water, it was cheap on eBay so it's all good ;) It's been powerhosed, picked off and flushed and now running lots of antifreeze!

Thanks :) ZE is out of action for now. The head gasket finally went a week after the dyno. ITBs were lovely, it was more an engineering project than what I really wanted my car to have. I'm not sure what to do with them now. Yea I'm sure I've some more pics. The fusebox is just in the lower section now and the wires rerouted. Powersteering similar, just used copper hose to reroute it, but the pics will show it better when I dig them out.

Thanks John, I got tired of your setup making me jealous :P Yea ebay turbo just because it's so cheap, it's like a My First Turbo which I don't care if it all goes wrong. I'm pretty impressed so far, plenty have done ok with them, the restrictor seems to be doing its job and it's the best turbo I've ever owned  I'm keeping my eye out for a good deal, but I'm happy with it so far.

lol I was worried that might happen... Dyno, good question, probably just the next time theres a rolling road day round here, as it's a bit costly normally! I'm not expecting much, but more than my ZE NA that's for sure! No one wants to work with megasquirt much around here, so I'm not sure what to do about tuning yet. I'd be happy to pay someone if it made the difference, but there's no shaodome or equivalent in Ireland :(

That turbo setup is sick! Wow that's an awesome install. Wish you still have the S/C tho, would of really like to see a SC-ZE tweaked and tuned. with a good amount of road time.

I believe there is a good guy in England, look at the megasquirt forum. Perhaps he can be of help.

Some overdue updates!

Updated spec sheet I made for Japfest2011 in England - Europes biggest jap car meet. It was very cool 11mx3s I think, lots about that on uk-mx3.com.
Image

And it was tuned at just over half bar! Approx 7/8psi

Image

281 BHP
251 lbft of torque
263 WHP

Yeehaw! Dale at Bailey Performance reckoned the injectors were good for 12lbs with a safe duty cycle, being as the AFPR is hooked up so it's adding more pressure as the boost goes up. Unfortunately my damn HKS EVC 5 wasn't playing ball.

I've since installed this straight off my downpipe:
Image

Damn it's so fun! It's quiet... then it's an open exhaust beast! Exhaust cutouts rock. Props to hppwdn as usual for bringing those to my attention.

Will order a new TiAL spring, maybe about 9/10lbs and...

300HP here we come :D
