HAHAHAHAHA!!!

Yah, right!

I'd say I'll see it when it's done, but not even, I'll see it when that project even gets it's foot off the ground.

RX8SE3P wrote:Nice stuff mate I'd love to see a dyno of the torque the car puts out. How does it feel with the SC?
It felt alot stronger. I might stick it back on sometime but for now it's off, unfortunately it wasn't agreeing with my engine at the time for annual MOT inspection.

Hey man, well I hope you do, that's a project I'd love to try myself but don't have the space where I live right now. My advice if you have something cool in mind is to just make it, then come and shock everyone ;)
AaronTietje wrote:Great pics. :D Just curious as I was looking through your worklog, which LSD did you get from Mfactory? The 26 or 28 spline???
Hey Aaron, thanks, the LSD is 28 spline, best answer is this:
Basic fitment info for US market applications (for questions PM me):
28 spline:
88-92 probe, mx6, 626 (non turbo 4 cyl only)
93-97 probe, mx6, 626 (all, 4 cyl and v6)
92-95 mx3 (v6 only)
95-97 kia sephia (1.8 only)
99-03 protege (all 2.0, including mazdaspeed turbo)
26 spline:
**90-94 protege (dohc)
**91-96 escort (1.8 GT only)
97-03 escort and zx2 (all, sohc and dohc)
88-89 323 GT
90-94 Capri XR2

Well... here we go! First mx3 v6 with ITBs?! First ITB video, the sound is insane! Going to take some tuning, running very high revs as I didn't even have them torqued down properly and all out of sync. But hey, you get the idea ;)

They have been removed already, couldn't risk it with work tomorrow! Can't wait to have a proper play with them :D

Thanks guys :D yea right enough there's the Russian with itbs on a v6 mx3, oh well maybe Europe, most likely Uk :)

Aaron they're triumph daytona t595 TBs. I was inspired by clairetoo, who used them on her kl kit car. As for power, who knows! Time will tell, I gotta get my back up car running before I go any further. I'm going to be limited by my current kl01 cams (&oilpump), but I want to see if I like enough ITBs before putting money in it. Tbh I seem to be addicted to the engineering challenge!

why you laughin so hard?

i don't see why many think this is impossible or too much that's it's not worth it. how do you think they make drag cars? have you seen how many fwd cars they make into very cheaply build and simply modified 11 or 10 sec drag cars in the US or PR, and even here in Aruba or nearby in Curacao?
my plan is to cut the car up to fit the back-end setup of the miata and link the kl with the miata tranny (which already has been done). but i'm not doing the high end stuff, just using OEM parts and ofciarse a stand alone. gonna get great help from a couple of drag race/mechanic friends of mine on fabrication

but anw, enough whoring on this guy's worklog.. i will keep you all informed..

nicely done my man..

had enough supercharged fun?..

well i hope to see you get good results with this new setup. i saw somewhereon youtube, a puerto rican guy had e kl in a 323, with ITB, that monster sounded like a street bike.. when i come across that vid i'll post it so you can see what all can be accomplished with those toys..

EDIT: ahhhhh found the youtube link.. enjoy everyone..

Hear that WAY too often. It'll be more complicated and costly than you think.

Indeed, IF you ever get started on that project, make a worklog.

So, Marco, why did you choose to ditch the supercharger? And am I crazy, or in the videos, why doesn't your boost gauge show any boost?

Haha yes Leos car is legendary, I'm a long way off that!
Ryan wrote:So, Marco, why did you choose to ditch the supercharger? And am I crazy, or in the videos, why doesn't your boost gauge show any boost?
Haha yea the videos were taken when I first got it on, I was troubleshooting boost leaks in those runs, I think I put that in the description on youtube. Megasquirt logs showed about 5psi was the highest it went with that setup. I later found out I still had boost leaks. I still plan to weld up a new outlet (where I lost alot of boost) and try it again. I got a TIG welder a few months ago so no more porous cheapo MIG welds :)

As for why the changed of heart, I actually have no good reason. I'm very notionable, I see these cool things and I wan't to make it. It's like my adult substitute for Lego, I like building these things! I still have all the SC gear, I haven't brought myself to part with it, it still interests me. I also have turbo hot pipes sitting in the garage too, I just see good deals and grab them when I can, now I don't know what to be at

Thanks man :)

Might try the stock hood with some adjustments! Not entirely sure yet! As for filters, maybe get some socks 8)
