just make a set ike nd4spd did on his car. It seems easy enough. I think he did a full write up in his work log

Indeed, my car was prewired for them, switches in and ready to go but I never got around to getting the heated pads in. I couldn't really test the function of the original heated seats pads in a not Virginia summer on black leather seats, lol.

You don't need to have leather for heated seats. I put in aftermarket heated pads (using OEM Pathfinder switches since the X never came with the option, ever) and put them in the cloth seats, and they work great, and it's nice to not have a cold leather seats in the winter, and hot leather seats in the summer, and leather doesn't look good in the X (seen it once as a Valet driver, rare option, didn't like it). Heated seats aren't that forein or hard to do, just gotta get the pads. Mine aren't fancy, just the metal mesh ones (not some fancy more expensive carbon fiber ones) for $65/seat and they've been in use regularly every winter in the truck for about 4 years. I even made the rear seats heated.

If you want something, just do it. I'm doing heated mirrors on the X too. Again, never an option and no one has ever done it. Using snowmobile hand warmer for the element (idea from a Toyota forum). Finally tested it this week (driver side mirror is the only one done so far) and so far so good, which means I'll try to do the passenger side this year. Just ran out of summer (because of an exercise) to be able to finish the wiring; working outside in the parking lot at the appartment, no garage. I want them to be triggered with the rear refrost button (sound out later that some cars have it that way factory) so it's on the timer and I don't need to install another switch.
