Personally, I didn't find it fun, but I did find it interesting, I've never cut a car before, of course. I didn't like cutting my baby up, but she couldn't get in the trailer otherwise, and as I said before, she wouldn't fall in the hands of anyone else. I would even less want to see her driven around by someone else.

The point of this thread is to see, as much as possible where the panels come together....so that I can more carefully and accurately take them apart.
94' RS/GS/MS/CF Monster Turbo...coming soon.
93' GS SE, the Black Beast, the former love of my life...soon to be gutted and crushed.
94' GS, black on black, now in several small pieces...and one large crushed piece.
2007 Mazda3 GT Sport --- super fun

I found some really good ones in the favorite car thread: mx-3_4ever, page 58: http://www.mx-3.com/phpBB3//viewtopic.p ... 43#p595243

How many more do you need Charlie? Or rather what angles are missing that you need?

Actually those ones are awesome. Come to think of it Mark, you've taken lots of pics of your car on the lift. You wouldn't have any good shots of the underside would you?

I really haven't been on a lift that much lol :freak:

I added the pics that I had linked from the other page on page 1. There are some really great full underside pics with good lighting. That's about the best that I have found.

And then this one of Dana's car on a lift:

That's all really helpful. Thanks Mark and everyone who contributed. My curiosity gets the better of me and I just have to know things.

I'm hoing to pick up a new (to me) shell soonish...the wife relented when she saw the condition of the rear quarter panels. Once I get the old body stripped I want to look into a few things, but I want to have a plan before I start ripping and tearing. I'll let you all know if it leads to anything. Just a thing I have in the back of my head.

I take it you didn't get the snell for it's condition, but something cheap just to tear apart for personal inquiry?

I'm hoping that a good deal will come my way on a nice rust free car in the next couple of months. Once I have taken everything of value off the Purple Beast I plan to completely strip it and see what I can learn.
