Ok.so I just pulled my intake off to gain access to some bolts on my thermostat housing. I was cleaning the surface for my intake gasket when I noticed antifreeze sitting on top of my valves. Its not alot but it is on both sides. So what was the story behind this engine and others.
My engine is the 2.5L KLDE.

Wooters- Did you see antifreeze from the front or back valve covers? Is there a leak in your radiator causing it to jump onto the top of your motor and hood? I've never had something like that happen, don't know what's up with yours but a picture would make it easier for us to see what you're talking about.

Re: Is my head gasket blown?
The antifreeze is sitting on my intake valves. I had to first pull off my intake to gain access to two bolts on the backside of my thermostat housing. While i was cleaning the surface for a new gasket for my intake, i noticed the antifreeze. It is on both sides. The only leak i had was my thermostat housing, but that couldn't have put the anifreeze in my valve ports. I will upload a pic asap.

Re: Is my head gasket blown?
There is no way a bad HG would put coolant on the valves.
You must have spilled it there accidentally, there is no other explanation, aside from a cracked head, and that is very very very rare.

Yeah, pictures will help alot. I've never seen this happen before so I'm also new to this. I know the rubber hose in between the heads underneath the intake manifold can break but I just don't see where you're going to get the coolant onto the valves?

Re: Is my head gasket blown?
You probably spilled it in there from the throttle body when you were removing the manifold
