Re: how can I drop my cold idle a bit?
My car idles at 2.5 every morning. Idles at 3k when its -40. Idles at a healthy 700 RPM when its hot and relaxed, and just over 1k in traffic.

I'd just feel better about things if it was closer to 2k

Re: how can I drop my cold idle a bit?
my idle was bouncy and high. i checked my inside fuses and replaced what ones were blown and missing and changed my plugs then my idle problem was gone.
Re: how can I drop my cold idle a bit?

Don't listen to ^
do not mess with the idle screw unless you know what you're doing (diagnostic mode)
regardless, that won't affect your cold idle. Get a block heater installed so it takes less time to warm up. It idles high because it CAN'T idle low, it will just stall out. Try taking off pretty hard in 1st without much gas. If it drops below 500-1000, it may very well stall out on you.

Re: how can I drop my cold idle a bit?
I was always wondering my car idled so high when first started. I never noticed it until I BP swapped + MTX swapped. Now it idles high until warming where it drops to about 1k rpms
