Even then, Europe and Japan always got the good versions of the cars anyway even if they did come here.

For this one... wtf is a "Coop-eh"?

I can't stand when Mazda is pronounced MAAAAZDA either...

The Squashed Sardine comment fits well though, for what it's worth.
It's just the way the British pronounce coupé. The it's like how in the US most people say it "coop".
It's actually the RIGHT way to pronounce it. Coupé ("coop-eh") means "cut" in French (as in a car with the rear doors "cut" off, while "coop", as far as I know, is the place where chicken play...
THat's the way I pronounce it. koohpay. lol. I love the way it sounds. I also call sedans saloons, even though I'm in the US.

I'm not a fan of Citroen, but I always wanted a Clio V6 Sport.
Although a Clio Williams wouldn't be such a bad thing either... :P

What is it with the US banning all of these french car manufacturers (except for smart, which is a French subdivision of Mercedes)

Fiat is making its way into Canada this year. We only get the 500 though, which is unfortunately ugly, although refined...

Any the reason the US doesn't want the european cars, is that their massive shitty a-- car companies, dodge, ford, GM, will flop faster than you can say "I want an import"

Now that I think about it, Fiat is the only italian car manufacturer to be allowed back into the states (other than the exotic car companies of course) since Alfa Romeo in the 90s

I'm not sure. In the '80s, they got the Renault 18 here. I wasn't here at the time, but my theory is that the combination of a fuel injected engine specifically designed for this market (the "normal" 18 was carbureted), and the addition of an automatic transmission, were enough, for a car that wasn't that good to begin with, to turn it into a piece of crap. That was, AFAIK, the last Renault entry into the US market. Too bad, because cars like the "Fuego", "Megane", "Clio" and "Laguna" would've made a hell of a splash here.

Yeah, that also wouldn't surprise me. Most American cars wouldn't stand a chance against French or Italian cars. The quality difference is just staggering.

lol well I'd agree with most Italian cars, haven't seen too much greatness from the frogs though.

Well, I don't know what you've seen. Fiat, Renault and Peugeot have been in my country for more than 40 years. Quality wise, Renault and Peugeot can kick Fiat's a$$ anytime. The only (fairly) economic car that can compete with them is Alfa Romeo, and their cheapest cars are normally about the same price as Renault and Peugeot's mid to high range models

No no no. you got it all wrong. He says it's his kind of car, for the men who love women. And I'm not sure if he's crying at the end because she took his car or because they left. lol

  I would personally LOVE to see him being crammed inside an MX-3. Don't get me wrong: I'm 5'10", and the 3 is a very comfortable car for me, but he's 6'5"...
