squeeky strut?

I meant about the suspension strut on my Girlfriend's Camry That's actually a decent idea though, as was the weatherstripping one. My hatch rattles slightly, I am planning to try the weather stripping method myself, at least initially.

Suspension struts can squeak too though! It could also be a bushing slipping or something too...

Not a big deal, it happens! How did you go about moving the latch down on your hatch? Did you mean the latch itself, or the portion attached to the hatch itself?

Just pop off the centre plastic panel in the trunk, you'll figure it out. bring a 10mm ratchet.

Tightening down the hatch by moving the hatch latch down does stop a lot of squeaking, but I tightened mine too much, and sometimes its a gong show trying to get it open again

i put weather stripping around my hatch. cost like $6 and stopped all the squeaking. for the hatch that is. i havnt noticed the squeaking since that night. its been alot warmer so its got to have something to do with the cold weather.

I bought a 0.99 cent dollar electrical tape and put some around latch. And the squeaking went away in 2 seconds.

So wait, it's actually meant to be adjustable? I didn't notice that when I last had it torn apart. Or did you drill/tap new holes?

The receiver has slots, not holes. Its slightly adjustable.
