Why didnt you just pay someone to pass it??
Would've been a lot easier and cheaper. I've never taken any of my cars to get inspected legitly even if i thought theyd pass. Hell, my RX7 doesn't have anything emissions related on it anymore and wouldnt even pass emissions in China. But its still up to date on its tags.

Wow...It worries me that you don't seem to see anything wrong with that...

By the way: emissions in China are much more difficult to pass than here.

2400???
Where do you live? Monaco?

Anyways, what's wrong with your mx3? Can't you fix that one?

Sorry you're having so much trouble... Can you tell me more about the sentra? Does it crank? Any CEL? Do you have spark?
If it won't start after hitting a puddle it should be something pretty simple. Maybe you can fix it, and save your mx...
Just give us more data, and we'll help you figure it out.

ok ino the mx-3 needs new valve cover bolts i broke one when i was removing it. i need the front bumper hardware and i need some miscelanious front end bolts a new radiator or the bolts kits for the radiator im thinkin of going with a mishimoto rad anyway. the sentra i dont know how to pull cel cause theres no diag box i had water in the intake box so i pulled that off and pulled my spark plugs to let it it dry out but i saw no water in the engine or my oil when i pulled the dipstick out. the starter clicks and i have electrical i pulled my full pump fuse and then put it back in to see if my fuel pump wouldprime and it did.

Hmmm...sorry man. Looks like everything goes to he11 at the same time... :(

But for what you say, the MX-3 doesn't need anything major. Can't you sell the sentra and fix the 3?

Perfect. As long as you don't have to lose your 3, you should be ok.
It's a tough break on the sentra, but, after all, it's just a car.
You know your baby would never let you down like that...

Well, for what you said before, the only thing keeping the 3 from starting is the broken VC bolt...

Now, that can be intimidating, but, if you have access to a MIG or TIG welder, it's something you can literally fix in less than a minute: just weld something (a nut, a nail, ect) on the bolt, being careful not to touch the aluminum with the arc, and take it off. I had that problem with my timing idler bolt: I welded a nut on it, and it came right off without a problem.

ino i dont have axcess but will bolt extractors work or even grinding till i have four flat sides then using a wrench to twist it off. the later sounds risky though.

Too bad we live so far away, or I could go with my MIG.
Both ideas (or actually, all three of them) are risky, especially with such a thin bolt. I'd try grinding it first (with a FILE. Don't use a grinder, or you'll risk biting on the head), and if that doesn't work, I'd go for the extractors. Worst case, if the extractors also fail, you can always bore it and re tap it.
In any case, PB Blaster is gonna be your best friend, and remember to cover the head carefully, so you don't get any crap inside the engine.

Why would I see something wrong with it? You live in Florida where theyre stopping emissions, do you see anything wrong with that?? How many modified cars do you believe actually pass emissions? They can swap out all of their parts back to stock to pass but they just go put all of the aftermarket parts back on the next day, does that help you sleep at night? Theyre still polluting as much as me after their inspections are done. So no, I see absolutely nothing wrong with paying an extra few bucks to save myself the hassle of swapping parts for one day.
