I was a little curious at your torque values. 80ft.lbs comes to mind. Can't you drill and tap the bolt out? Center punch the bolt/stud, drill as large a size as you can then hammer the end of a file into the hole and the bolt should turn out. Anyway you have my empathy

I apologized to the torque wrench.

Well, I have the block pulled out, I managed to pull it out of the engine bay without touching the trans so that's a relief. I'm going to a machine shop, I've got the flywheel and all off so I could replace the rear main as well. There are some small cracks in the flywheel where the clutch engages it. Tiny ones. hmm... Is that normal? It seems to me as if it's alright.

Anyways, yeah, I'd prefer taking the block to a machine shop to get out the bolt. It's in back of the truck and ready to go

Have them look at the flywheel too. If need be they can magnaflux it (MPI). Torque wrenches really should be calibrated. I'm lucky I can bring mine into work and have this done. My cheap $10 dollar flea market special is bang on. If you have a wratchet type then always return it to zero after use to maintain calibration.
