Honestly, I have been considering these since I first bought the MX-3.

I LOVE the look, but the vents are about 1" higher than I like... I also can never tell from pictures if the line on the fender lines up smoothly with that on the door.

If I put these on my car, they WILL be functional. I've been debating these and a scoot vent at the rear of the hood...

Why would you want to have gills on your car?

gills would just go well with my lips, wings, angel eyes, and cute little skirts

lol i dont know. I think it would look rather dashing. Plus the weight and cooling are a turn on as well.... I may fiberglass over one single opening to give it a tiny different look.

i wish the car was more square so i could try a R34 Z-tune kind of fender vent. Functional and light but still VERY discrete

plus these are very cheap on ebay. Does anyone have a pic of a car with a MS or CS front with these fenders? I only find cars with ugly body kits.......

mx3 fenders are heavy? I must've missed something. If anything, I'd make widebody kit for mx3 that way I could stuff some wider wheels in those fender wells.

The fenders are pretty light, I'm not even sure fiberglass would be lighter in this instance...

I would do this primarily for the cooling potential, but I honestly believe venting by the windshield would be more beneficial. Added bonus, it would help to defrost in the morning!

Engine bay ventilation :)

I'm still unsure about how I will vent cooler air in, but I plan on venting the hot air at the rear of the hood if possible. I already removed the weatherstripping beneath it, which helped noticeably, but not so much as I had been hoping for.
