Re: More things for the US to think us canadians say "EH"
I can do 1 better I am a newfoundlander aka a "newfie" or "newf" I have run into racism here in canada against "newfies" (mainly in alberta workin on the oil rigs) but I run into the stereotype of newfies being heavy drinkers who party all the time and are generally "stupid" or that we have all fished on the ocean at 1 point in our lives. Well it pisses me off when I run into that steretype. I do drink but not excessively, I rarely party with anyone other than a select group of friends and I am by no means stupid. Stereotypes are for the weak and narrow minded people, if they can't see outside that then I pity them. If you encounter that and its meant in a negative way then yeah by all means fire away on them.

Newfie's also have a super thick accent that sounds like bear noises.
That aside, since we're on the topic, what is the difference between racism, sterotyping, generalizing, and plain old prejudice?
I mean, some things are simply true. Asians, for the vast majority, have black hair, and are a little shorter.
Certain races from around the equator are taller, thinner, maybe 'gangly'. races from the north are often shorter, stouter, and thicker. Those are adaptations, but still could be applied as a 'stereotype'
Although there's never gurantee, are we not allowed to state things like that?
Not all Canadian's say 'eh", but I bet the vast majority of us do, as opposed to 'huh'
