If you don't want to spend the money, your not going to get the power. You'll free up some lost HP, but if the engine is strong, you could maybe gain 10hp, and that's a very generous number. 10hp gain on a 100hp motor is a 10% increase, which is ALOT. These motors aren't like the new ones they have now where they are over-engineered and power is limited through the car's computer. Your motor is 20yr old technology....


You want power for cheap, nitrous is the only answer, but hopefully you don't blow anything up that way. You can turbo, or swap+turbo, but they're not cheap.

Power isn't free.

yea i know power isnt free im just finding that out the hard way. im in college and i want a builder car that i can make into a sleeper and i wont run nitrous its too dangerous but i thank you for your input :) i just hope i can figure something out. is there by chance anywhere to get an alternator for the 1.6 for less than 150 anywhere ?

Add banana peels to your gas tank. Always increases my top end.

might help, but my friend bought a nos bottle at a gas station, the car became pretty fast cause we mounted it to the dash. just think if he got a purple nos bottle. :freak: and decals? thay dont work. go buy the ebay turbo whistle, mad horse power yo! :twisted: thats easy bolt on.
