Just don't get their ECU chips...Alex's never ran right and that's all he ran.

We had an issue where they sold Devlin a DE rather than a ZE, and after weeks of arguing and some documentation, they finally swapped it out, the labor out of his pocket...Steve J-SPEC wrote:I've worked with tiger on numerous occasions... I understand what you're sayin...did they do the initial install? Or did they ship you the wrong motor and you installed it? I'm not sayin mistakes don't happen. I'm just curious as to whether you installed a motor without knowing it was wrong until it was in the car? Do DE's have bluetop injectors? I am not really surprised they would have charged for labor. One motor I bought had a hole in the valve cover...they were ready to ship me another one and take mine back, but I just wanted it in the car and had a spare front valve cover.Nd4SpdSe wrote:We had an issue where they sold Devlin a DE rather than a ZE, and after weeks of arguing and some documentation, they finally swapped it out, the labor out of his pocket...Steve J-SPEC wrote:I've worked with tiger on numerous occasions... No, they did the install. The initial story I don't remember, been a few years. A few guys had swaps done there not long before and they were a-ok, but a new guy took over, didn't know, didn't care, and didn't believe us.Steve J-SPEC wrote:I understand what you're sayin...did they do the initial install? You have to realize that as much as we know about these cars, motors, and what WE want...they are only going off what they have been told. There is very little difference. I am sure if you had told them the motor was wrong before it was in the car the issue would have been resolved without you spending a cent.
Hmmm you just gotta look for a rust free one.. and they are out there cause I got one for super cheap!Steve J-SPEC wrote:Yea I'd probably be pretty upset too if i figured i was gettin a ZE and received a DE. The place has changed a fair bit in the past year or two. All the JDM cars are something else...they're saying they're going to start importing the MX's this year. I want to pick one up if they do...i'm sick of fighting rust.
I'd like to pick up an FC sometime this year, but if i had to get a commuter, i'd like to get a 626 hatch diesel, or supercharged diesel.Steve J-SPEC wrote:Yea I'd probably be pretty upset too if i figured i was gettin a ZE and received a DE.
