I'll agree to the first part unless it's being used in a very high hp high rpm engine. Imbalance adds up quick.

As to the resurfacing. You are correct about pressure plate load but even with a straight edge you can see low spots at the mounting bolt holes for the friction surface. Take a cut and you'll really see the high spots. I'd rather have a nice smooth surface that will break in quickly then a wavy one that'll take so much disc meterial to wear it smooth that it's no worse then a light cut.

Oke, as long as there are no high spots on the flywheel just replace the plate (unscrew and attach again) and I'll be fine?
