Another thing to consider is inner CV joint. If it's bad, it'll knock in a straight line, especially when accelerating. Click/knock going around corners is only for outer CV joints. So even if you had outer CVs replaced, inner joint can still be bad.
Measure the frequency of the knock in relation to the speed, and see if it matches the revelations of the axle, and then you can tell if it's the CV or not.

my GS had a horrible inner and outer CV joint (they were TOASTED)
and it didn't cause the issue he's describing.

Depends on the kind of damage that's done to the joint, I guess.

You can tell that this knocking noise goes in correlation with the rotation of the axle, because when I am going 2 km/h down the road you can hear it grinding very slowly (usually knocking doesn't start coming in harder until I get more speed) but you can hear how slow the grinding is when the car is going slowly, then at 100 km/h the knocking is coming in very fast, and at like 180 km/h its going VERY fast.

Well, I am officially at a loss with this car. You know the first time I took it to a mechanic because it wouldn't start he told us it was flooded, even though I'm pretty sure there were other problems; such as only, on average, 60 lbs of compression per cylinder. Second time I took it to a mechanic because it wouldn't start again, they told me it was flooded.
I was just on my way home from the misses and I heard severe vibrations coming from the rear right tire, so when I got home 2 mins later I checked my lug nuts, alot of them were surprisingly loose, so I tighten them all up and away I go for a test drive. Not only is the severe vibrations gone, but ALSO the knocking that occurs when I am in gear and have my foot off the pedal; now the only time that the knocking occurs is in gear and accelerating, if I don't have my foot on the gas I can BARELY, BARELY hear this faint sound of that knocking, but it wouldn't be audible if I didn't know it was there to begin with.
I think the only logical explanation for this is such: My car has learned to perform miracles.

hey i got a similar problem but i dont know for sure its my cv axle.. well for me as i drive along between shifts, inital acceleration, and coasting then accelerate a clicking noise is heard around the driver side (driving straight)... this never happend to me. like you know if the cv axle is bad if it knocks n clunks while turning. i checked if anything was loose like the wheel bearing, tie rods, n the ball joints. seems to be good.. so guys would the cv axle cause this CLICKING problem??
many thanks
