With the ball joint off the steering knuckle can be pulled far enough out to pull the shaft from the transmission. Getting the axle nut of the wheel end of the axle is the hard part. Do that before you unbolt anything else...or after you've got your new ball joint on.
So, unstake and remove the axle nut. A 3/4" ratchet and breaker bar are usually required.
Remove the lower ball joint
Drain the transmission
Pull the steering knuckle away from the axle
Pop the axle out of the transmission
Installation is the reverse of removal.

that is an awsome price!! i just returned from my parts dealer, where i normally get all my parts, and parts for others since i get everything at cost, best deal they had for struts was about 120 a peice for munroe's and 90 bucks for cheaper quality, thanks again zzzoomzzzoomx3 wrote: - ajusa.com - has KYBs for @ $50 bucks
