my air impact wrench failed at this, it's hardly low spec either. I got my brother to hold the brakes and I used a breaker bar with 6' scaffolding

I've also tried using a car jack under the end of the breaker bar, which failed too. My car was lifting up before the bolts broke loose

Make sure to undent the notch too. I also melted wax into the threads, may or may not have helped...was desparate!

Penetrating Oil, WD40... and if you can't crack it with an air gun or a 6' torque bar, its probably welded on

My drivers side one was stuck, so i just took the whole strut and hub out. Not much harder than spending an afternoon screwing around with that damn stuck nut.
