On a lot of my cars I can just unbolt the bottom of the fender and pull it out a little to wash it out. Not so on the MX-3....

I found a nice way to clean out the fenders...
This works best if you have some sort of hoist.
1) Life up the front of your car (or don't)
2) Take off the mud guards, if you have them (two or three plastic screw things, one metal at the top and one on the bottom)
3) Take the two bolts out of the bottom of the fender, 10mm.
4) Take one or two screw/bolts out from behind/above the mud guard, holding the wheel well splash guard on.
5) Pop out the splash guard, its help in my bending it all funny infront and behind the fender. Pull back and out and it should come pretty easy.
6) Pull out as much as you can with your hand.
7) Open your door, put a pressure washer nossel in the hole where you see daylight, and shiver git.

Put everything back together.
It took me maybe thirty minutes working with garbage tools, and breaking some of the bolts, and one screw.

I reccommend letting them soak in some sort of penetraiting oil for a bit. mainly the ones under the fender. Especially if everything hasn't EVER been replaced on your car for FIFTEEN YEARS!!!

I believe so... It might also be where I live.... horrid canadian roads, living down gravel, previous owner down gravel, wet season is 2 months, super hot for two, and snow/slush for the rest.

You can tell he's fibbing when he looks down, and to the left.

I feel ripped off. I never found anything cool like money or a used razor. Just lots of dirt, and lots of little broken things.
