"Remote shift control" means that the shift lever is not attached directly to the gears box like the D4M-D but is connected by either a link rods or a cables between the gearbox and shift lever.

I forgot to mention that the H-series and the newer G25 used with the 2.0L RF-T also have a much bigger throw-out bearing that will stand up to higher torque and RPMs without gear killing clutch chatter and beefier throw out fork and pivot ball than the F and G gearbox.
