Isn't the problem with the LSD trannies the availability of axles that we can't seem to find.

This was generally true previously to this discovery. It was true that the LSD MTX seen previously used the older 323 inboard CV joints. The ones I saw and the one I scooped up use the same CV joint as the normal "peg leg" trannies. Don't know if these are production freaks or if it was a production change on the last of the V-6 Lantis-R (V-6 Lantis-X were "peg-leg" trannies) The problem is the Lantis was a poor seller in Japan but did very well in Europe as the 323F (I had a 323F ZXi as a company car back in the mid 90's). Most were sold in Japan with the 122hp BP and not the V-6. More were sold with the ATX so we will probably never see many of the LSD trannies and probably even fewer of the LSD that use the normal sized drive shafts if this was truely a production change in the later years. The other problem is that the JDM guys consider Mazda FWD trannies as scrap and who knows how may of them eventually end up at the metal recyclers.
